Sola Scriptura to the Sola Experientia. Protestantism and science in the nascent Modernity

(Notes from Paul Feyerabend's Philosophy of Science)

Abstract

In his Classical empiricism, Paul Feyerabend compares the Protestant principle Sola Scriptura with the concept of experience in modern science. In both cases he denounces a fundamentalist epistemology and methodology. This article explains and analyzes Feyerabend’s arguments and recovers Feyerabend’s pluralistic perspective for the construction of a contemporary theology.
