Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published or submitted for consideration by any other journal (or an explanation has been provided in the Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect format.
  • Whenever possible, URLs are provided for references.
  • Text is single spaced; 12 point font size; italics are used instead of underlining (except in URLs); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed in the appropriate places in the text, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author's Guidelines, which appear in About the journal.

Author Guidelines

Information about the authors: Name (s) and surname, institution, academic degrees, city and country.

The text must be sent in .doc, .docx or an equivalent format, without any type of editing protection, on letter-size pages, in a single column. The approximate length of the article will be between 4000 to 8000 words, single spaced, in Times New Roman font, 12 points.

The basic structure of the manuscript must contain an Introduction, Background, Methodology, Results, Conclusions, and Bibliographic References.

Each item should include:

  • An abstract with a length between 100 and 150 words (between 10-15 pages). The abstract must be in Spanish and English

  • Five Key Words that must be in Spanish and English.

  • In-text citations and bibliographic references: must be made using the CHICAGO format.

Inclusive language: The texts presented must reflect inclusiveness both in the language and in the perspective of the article.

Articles submitted for evaluation will be reviewed according to the following criteria:

  • Format and presentation according to editorial policies.

  • Originality and contribution.

  • Clarity in the writing and organization.

  • Academic rigor: current sources, knowledge of the discipline, methodological clarity.

  • Thematic relevance.
