Hope in the face of suffering, from a pastoral view of health, in the context of the Covid 19 pandemic
Abstract
This article reflects on the global health situation of the COVID 19 pandemic, from a perspective of hope based on religious experience. Therefore, it begins with a brief description of the reality that translates into a feeling of suffering due to the various losses that the pandemic has caused. Subsequently, there is a rereading of biblical texts that provide hope from the experience of faith and love. In this sense, it is posed as a challenge to be faced in Christian communities, of a pastoral care of health, which is linked to the very essence of the Christian faith. In the face of existential doubts or questions, faith united with hope produces an effect of confidence in a better future that can be built from a health ministry, which becomes a hope ministry for the current generation and above all for the new generations.
