COVID-19 and the situation of women during the pandemic
Abstract
Within the framework of the COVID-19 issue and the experiences of women in this new reality, it is interesting to determine the gender gaps that persist in this pandemic and that affect different sectors in different ways. Although the subject is very broad, at least two aspects are analyzed: How have gender inequalities increased in this global health crisis? How do the figures connect gender discrepancies with other types of violence and burdens that afflict women in different areas of their life (physical health, employment, underemployment, domestic violence, saturation of mental burdens)?
