Bodies, rituals and duels
a biblical feminist perspective
Abstract
The world in general has been affected by the outbreak of the coronavirus, the normality that we assumed in the midst of political, social and economic situations, was shown the world in a cruel and totally asymmetric way, breaking daily life and establishing others. Relationships are lived every day, and in these months the losses have been significant, from the closest to the most global levels. We have not been able to process the losses, or live the grief, the necessary rituals have been interrupted, in such a way that they constitute challenges for the biblical-theological-pastoral task, to try to envision other ways of “building” the world, in what is called the post-pandemic time. Can we think of the laments and mourning, not only from a public demonstration, but also from a critical one? Faced with the pain of others and our own, can we reimagine other forms of coexistence in solidarity?
