Our encounter with death
Abstract
The global collective experience of the Pandemic has confronted us with the meaning of life, tragedy and death. What can we say from Theology? In this Essay we analyze funeral ideas and rituals about death in pre-Hispanic societies, during the Colony and today, with the celebration of the Day of the Dead in Mexico. We approach this work from a decolonial perspective, attempting to challenge our theological epistemologies.
