Abstract

This essay proposes an updating of the Bible as a major theological challenge in societies in which the new communication technologies have generated a type of “democratization” of the culture. It notes the way the text is used: the point of reference for a biblical update should not be limited to the political world in a narrow sense but to a cultural world in a broad sense.
