El proceso migratorio: su impacto e implicaciones para la pastoral familiar en los Estados Unidos
Abstract
This article studies the migratory process and its impact on the family life of Latin Americans living in the United States. It analyzes the challenges of a psychological adjustment to an unknown culture: the transition from a community culture to an individual one; the ethnocentrism and separation from the family. It concludes that the clash between family and cultural values of the home country with those of the new country significantly reduce the ability to solve problems.
