Camino a Edimburgo 2010 Desafíos latinoamericanos de la ecumene, la unidad y la misión en el Congreso Evangélico Hispanoamericano de la Habana (1929)
Abstract
This article concentrates on the Havana Conference of 1929, analyzing its historical precedents and then evaluating its significance for the ecumene, the unity, and the mission of the Latin American evangelical churches. The reading and interpretation of the 1929 Havana Congress documents begins from a holistic view of mission and briefly considers its liturgy and its understanding of diakonía, kerygma, didajé and martiria. The 1929 Havana Conference establishes the foundations that will shape the Latin American ecumenical identity of a significant sector of current evangelical Protestantism.
