Luther and politics - a model for today?
Abstract
This article presents Luther’s doctrine of two kingdoms as a distinction of the kingdoms and not as a separation. The ethical importance of this is (1) a liberation from the hegemonic system of the time; (2) his theological distinctions free the political realm from ecclesial domination; (3) on this foundation Luther developed a prophetic-critical theology in the social-political area.
