El dolor de las humanas
Abstract
This article seeks to show the pain inherent in human life and specifically in the painful life experiences of women. The stages of the human life cycle provide the backdrop for exploring everyday life experiences from a psychosocial perspective.
Through a synthesis of women’s stories, pain – from abandonment through emptiness – is denounced. Although the destructive consequences of pain in women’s life are emphasized, the article also reveals the courage, personal effort and responsibility involved in the struggle for survival.
