Agua, capitalismo y el mercado neoliberal
Abstract
La crisis actual del agua en el mundo está íntimamente ligada a la historia de los conflictos políticos y a los modelos económicos del siglo XX.
Un repaso al rumbo de esta historia, nos ubica en el contexto actual del capitalismo neoliberal en el que el agua, como los demás recursos de nuestro planeta, es víctima de la apropiación, privatización, y comercialización. La lógica del mercado, en la que el valor de un bien comerciable se establece en relación inversa con su disponibilidad, convierte este don de la vida, en privilegio de pocos.
