Homosexuality and the Catholic ecclesial discourse on the "unnatural":
A review from the cultural context of Rm 1,26-27
Abstract
The article analyzes the use of the terms "natural" and "unnatural", referring to homosexuality, in recent documents issued by the Costa Rican Catholic Church. At the same time, he compares the contemporary use of these concepts with the use that Rm 1,26-27 makes of them in their social context. Cultural anthropology allows evidence of anachronisms in ecclesial discourses that contain ethical judgments about sexuality.
