Abstract
A fines del siglo 1, la iglesia en Asia Menor, junto con otros centros de actividad evangelística, buscaba poner por escrito tradiciones acerca de Jesús. ¿Cómo explicar a judíos y gentiles esa radiante personalidad, ese “relámpago del cielo” que entró en la historia por breves años de ministerio antes de su muerte salvadora? Otras ramas del movimiento cristiano – que nombraban a Pedro como guía, o Pablo, o Santiago de Jerusalén – lo hacían enarbolando títulos mesiánicos como “Señor,” “Salvador,” y “Sanador”.
