Abstract
En la situación actual del cristianismo, en medio de cambios sociales radicales y arrolladores, estamos enfrentando muchos acontecimientos contradictorios. Mencionamos sólo dos a continuación. Por un lado, cristianos en el transcurso de su vida a menudo pasan por diferentes confesiones; es decir, cambian su adherencia institucional religiosa una o más veces durante su vida. Por otro lado, las iglesias confesionales como instituciones tienen temor a disolverse y están tratando de reafirmar sus fronteras y asegurar su membresía.
