Interdisciplinary reflections on the current Palestine-Israel conflict
Abstract
Although the Palestine-Israel conflict is the product of geopolitical interests of major powers and internal disputes between warring populations and factions, it has also had a strong religious component from the outset. This component not only plays an important role in justifying the war, but is also used as an instrument to guide public opinion and the international political stance towards the conflict. This issue of the journal Vida y Pensamiento addresses the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from different disciplinary perspectives: historical, religious, biblical, theological and pastoral.
