Vol. 41 No. 1 (2021): Hablar de Dios desde las crisis del siglo XXI
This issue of the Journal Vida y Pensamiento addresses some current challenges for Latin American theology, both in the social, political and economic spheres, as well as in frontier issues related to ecology and gender. The destruction of nature, for example, evokes faith in a God who seeks to preserve the world. The experiences of femicides, wars and migration confront faith with a God who, on the contrary, promotes non-violence, mercy, gender equality and solidarity. The neoliberal economic system, which relies on a total market and widens the gap between rich and poor, contradicts faith in a God who, by his grace, bows equally to all people.
