Abstract
This approach to the parable of the workers in the vineyard (Matt 20:1-16) centers on work, the economy, hiring, the work day, conflict, the social-historical context, and theology. These are undoubtedly its thematic nuclei, from which it proposes an alternative reading for the current context, so affected by situations of unemployment and economic inequality.
