Carne y dolor: una relectura de Las confesiones de Agustín

  • Jonathan Pimentel Chacón
Keywords: body, memory, Augustine, The confessions, Christian carnality

Abstract

The article is a rereading of the The Confessions of Augustine, from the criteria of body and memory analysis. In particular, the focus is on the relationship between carnality and pain that is established in The Confessions. The author postulates that in The Confessions, this relationship is inverted and carnality becomes pain in the soul, and that the recarnalization of Christianity includes the suspension of the Augustinian concept of sin.
