Religion, both as a social phenomenon and as an object of study, has undergone interesting transformations in recent decades. Anecdotal is already the failed prophecy of Harvey Fox with the publication of his secular City. Religion not only did not disappear from the new technological society but, on the contrary, it underwent a significant rebirth, both for its breadth and for the diversity of expressions that it has acquired and continues to acquire. In this issue of Life and Thought we offer five insightful articles on this complex social reality.
