Vol. 41 No. 2 (2021): Death: reality, metaphor and challenge
In this issue of the journal Vida y Pensamiento, the theme of death as a reality, metaphor and challenge is addressed. Indeed, the context of the “Covid-19” pandemic has placed us in the face of death in an unforeseen and involuntary way, exposing the variety of its dimensions: affective, economic, medical, religious. The fear and uncertainty that the subject provokes is paradoxical, since it is in the face of death that life acquires its most precise contours. We are interested in life, and therefore we return to the subject of death as an inevitable pole of reference to clarify our understanding of life, its expressions and meaning.
